Play OverviewPlay Overview

Death's Door (2021) is a noir adventure game where you play a crow whose job it is to reap the souls of the dead. When one goes missing you must fight, run and jump through a fantasy world to get it back. It's a simple combat game at heart, but the unusual setting and absence of natural death create a unique story of social responsibility in a world totally separate to ours.

You play as a crow working in a mundane office job, whose life is turned upside down one day when one of the souls you've been assigned to reap goes on the run, launching you into a world full of weird and wonderful creatures, some long past their expiry date. You travel across the realm, from ice-capped peaks to forest glades, battling enemies and interacting with locals in your quest to find the missing soul.

Play is exploration and combat, focused on quick, intense clashes which are quick to punish mistakes. Alongside these, are longer form boss battles where you'll need to plan ahead and learn your enemies patterns.

While exploring, you'll cross unstable platforms and treacherous gorges, which you'll have to avoid by running, jumping and grappling before you fall to your death. You'll also encounter the denizens of the world, who you'll bring hope to through your brave and valiant actions.

It's a unique blend of role-playing, fighting and platforming, and offers a fresh perspective on our world through its unique storytelling and setting, that challenges you to think about mortality and life in a new light.
