Play OverviewPlay Overview

Fuel (2009) is an open-world racing game set in a Mad-Max-style post-apocalyptic United States. It was one of the first driving games to let you drive anywhere on the huge map without loading times. With a day-night cycle and weather, you can take all manner of cars, trucks and bikes out into the wilderness.

The open-world setting of Fuel allows players to seamlessly drive all the way towards and up into the snowy regions of these hazy mountains. As well as being a fun driving game it also creates the emotion of being out in the wilds at night with only a simple vehicle to get you home.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Fuel 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 7 months ago.
