Play Overview
Genesis Noir (2021) is a narrative-driven puzzle game. It's a time travelling mystery to save your lover, by intervening through the history of the world to ultimately stop the expansion of the universe. Although it sounds bizarre, existential and confusing, at heart it's a simple game about changing things that you hope will alter the future and make your relationship possible.
You play as No Man, a cosmic being in love with Miss Mass. After being separated by the big bang, you must navigate through time to prevent it from ever occurring. You do this by selecting a moment in time to enter, then pointing and clicking on objects to solve puzzles and interact with other characters.
"Explore worlds, touch nature, see patterns, be creative, leave your mark, fall in love and make important telephone calls," say the developers. Genesis Noir allows you to explore each moment in time in whatever order you please, as you search for clues on how to stop this moment from ever happening. It's a beautiful game with a minimalistic design, scenes melting together to make you feel like you're exploring an artist's sketchbook.
Along the way you'll witness the birth and history of mankind: You’ll observe moments in the history of the universe, from the first microseconds of Life to trillions of years in the future. What will you learn about these new creations, in your search to destroy them?
