Play OverviewPlay Overview

Heavy Rain (2010) is from the same Quantic Dream studio who made Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human. It preceded these games but shared the same branching narrative and photo-realistic aspirations.

In this game, you play the parent of an abducted child and must follow a trail of clues and gruesome challenges to save your son. You also play a detective investigating the case, a journalist also interested in uncovering what happened and a private investigator.

The choices you make in the game, and how well you perform in the challenges that require you to press combinations of buttons in quick succession, can result in one of the four characters dying and the narrative changing dramatically.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Heavy Rain 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Ben Kendall and updated 17 months ago.
