Play OverviewPlay Overview

Joust Mania (2019) is a movement-sensitive game of tag that is played in the real world, holding PlayStation Move motion controllers. First appearing as one of the games in the Sportsfriends pack, and then evolving as Joust Mania with more modes and up to 16 players, it's an active video game that doesn't require a screen. Players must jostle each other to move opponents’ controllers by pushing, shoving or other reasonable contact while at the same time keeping their controller still.

The controller light goes out when you have died. You can play as teams, add vulnerable king players that must be protected or traitors who try and get their teammates out. While this is going on, music plays, the speed of which determines how sensitive the controllers are and how easy it is to be out.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Joust Mania 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Rich Adams and updated 8 months ago.
