Play Overview
Little Nightmares II (2021) is a running and jumping game wrapped in a horror theme. You play a little boy named Mono who explores a dark and disturbing world. On your journey, you meet a little girl called Six and together you try to survive and uncover the dark secrets of "The Pale City".
You explore the world by running, jumping and solving environmental puzzles. You can call out to Six to help solve these puzzles and can and hold her hand to guide her around and keep her from harm. You can also grab items and use them to fight off smaller foes. As you progress there are various scary scenarios that you must overcome to survive and items to collect.
Little Nightmares 2 is a prequel to the original Little Nightmares and it successfully builds upon what made the original game great. It fantastically creates a creepy and disturbing atmosphere ripe with tension without a single line of dialogue or narration. Instead, the game uses music, clever sound design, environmental storytelling and little moments of character performance to help drive a compelling story. This when combined with some interesting and innovative puzzles makes for a unique gameplay experience.

Getting caught by the large ghoul-like enemies usually results in Mono's death: getting struck by objects; being chased and shot; getting eaten alive. The game often has a dark tone, with sounds of characters screaming, depictions of body bags and meat grinders, and blood stains splattered on objects in a hospital and morgue.
