Play Overview
Pitfall Planet (2016) is a cooperative puzzle game that forces you to think outside the box as you collect gold, fight enemies and escape levels. It features challenging levels that mean that teamwork is central as you grapple, throw and create pathways together. It's a simple but deeply involving game.
Stranded on an alien planet after your ship crashes, you and the other player must explore and collect gold to summon an elevator to the next level. Along the way, you can find hidden and mysterious diary fragments from someone called Kate that begin to tell a larger story.
As well as running around the levels, you can throw the other player across gaps, allowing you to reach more areas. You can also grapple the person behind you across if you're the one ahead. To advance to the next level, you must collect all the gold.
It's a fun experience that connects people of different ages and levels of experience with its novel and easy to understand gameplay and an intriguing backstory to discover.
