Play Overview
SkateBird (2021) is a running (rolling) and jumping game where you play a skateboarding bird who performs tricks and explores skate parks. The skate parks are made of everyday objects such as pencils, books, and staplers which have been transformed into ramps and bars the right size for a bird to use.
Using simple controls, you race your bird around the skate park and learn new skateboard skills. You speed down ramps and do flips and tricks off platforms. As you play you meet bird characters who will take you to new locations where you can try new flips and jumps. Learning these new skills and tricks earn you points, with the more daring tricks giving you higher scores, similar to a Tony Hawk skating game.
Skatebird can be enjoyed by all of the family as it doesn't take itself too seriously, has easy to use controls and funny bird characters. It feels like exploring a young child's imagination where ideas are combines in ways you wouldn't expect -- avian skateboarders are just the start.
