Play Overview
Tetris Effect: Connected (2018) is a tile-matching puzzle game (just like the original Tetris) but with a surprisingly powerful aesthetic twist. The game places each level in a themed area and ties gameplay to the beat of the music across its thirty different stages.
Play proceeds much like Tetris, however, a new Zone mechanic enables you to pause time so you can clear more than the usual 4 lines at once. As you progress you steadily open up other meta-game challenges to take on.
Tetris Effect: Connected added new cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes drawn from the play style found in the original versions of Tetris. The Connected co-op mode enables up to three players to connect their Tetris playfields and play as one -- offering both advantages and challenges.
The game also offers a variety of relaxing and focusing modes through its combination of music, visuals and light gameplay.
