Play OverviewPlay Overview

Watch Dogs Legion (2020) is an adventure game, the third instalment in the Watch Dogs series. It's set in a fictionalised future dystopian London. You play hackers in the group DedSec seeking to clear their name for bombings in the city.

In addition to the exploration and technology hacking of the first games, Legion lets you play as multiple people with unique skills and backgrounds. If a character dies, they are lost permanently with a new Permadeath setting.

You use these characters to explore on foot with parkour moves, in vehicles you steal, or through the city's underground system. Each mission can be tackled in different ways. An open-combat approach would use weapons. A stealth approach would use the environment to avoid detection. A hacking approach would use technology to subdue enemies.

Combat includes a mixture of gun fights - involving lethal and non-lethal firearms - and hand-to-hand combat moves, with enemies making use of different methods depending on how the player acts against them in combat (i.e. a guard hit with a punch will use melee attacks). Players can be pursued by enemies when escaping, including hostile drones, but can lose them by utilizing hackable environmental objects (i.e. vents) and avoiding the line of sight with pursuers.

Age RatingsAge Ratings

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 18+ due to depictions of extreme violence to humans and the use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. There are depictions of motiveless killings of multiple innocent human characters. The player can freely explore the streets of London and attack innocent civilians by shooting, clubbing, stabbing or running them over.

The majority of civilians will try to flee the violence, although a few retaliate and chase down the player along with the police forces. The reactions to the violence are realistic in nature, with characters screaming in pain and then limply falling to the floor where their bodies remain. Impacts result in loss of blood.

The game also contains depictions of violence towards captive human-like characters. A number of characters can be restrained using handcuffs, either by the player or by other non-playable characters. When the victims are restrained, they can be beaten and killed. The characters sometimes beg for mercy in these situations and cry out in pain. If they are killed, their bodies limply fall to the ground.

There are visual and verbal references to human trafficking. Victims are seen being physically and verbally abused by their captors. There is also a depiction of an underground 'market', in which people's organs are harvested and sold.

Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.

Rated for younger players in Australia. Rated Mature Accompanied (MA 15+) for Strong Violence, Strong Themes, Strong Coarse Language.
