Play Overview
World Splitter (2021) is a platform puzzle game with a dual dimension challenge. In each level, you need to collect a series of characters and get to the exit. Sounds familiar, but adds a unique dimensional line that gives you access to two different versions of the level. This starts simply but soon gets complex and requires strategic thinking.
Play combines light running and jumping elements that combine with the manipulation of two parallel worlds. You need to access the different dimensions for platforms that give you access to higher parts of the level. Or you need to use the dimensions to avoid enemies and hazards. You can even us the movement of the dimensional line to shift your character upwards.
You can play the game with another person, which adds some assistance and requires lots of communication to progress well. Each of you can only interact with objects matching your colour which means you need to work together to progress.
You progress through each of the six world's ten levels and discover new challenges and mechanics as you go. New mechanics like switches, warp portals and differing gravity are just some of the twists.
Things do get harder later on, and you need to be prepared to try things over and over (or look up a guide). The final world adds a final twist of four different dimensions for extra mind-bending puzzles.
