Among Us offers 30 accessibility features in the Difficulty, Reading, Navigation, Controls, Visual, Audio and Communication areas to aid enjoyment of the game for different players. Among Us is a strategy game where crew-mates prepare their space ship for launch by completing tasks. However, one of the players is an impostor intent on sabotaging the ship and killing the crew. As the game progresses in real time the impostor carefully picks off players, who can then pause the game for an emergency meeting to discuss and vote traitors off the ship.

You can adjust the time you have to discuss and vote on who is an impostor, as well as reduce the player, crew mate and impostor speed. You can adjust the speed at which players move. You can also adjust abilities for each player (how hard it is to kill a player and how far they can see) to give new players an advantage. However, these are determined by the lobby you join, rather than by the individual player.

The game relies on colour heavily to identify which players people want to vote for. This is a challenge for colour-blind players particularly if competitors have not entered distinctive names.

Almost all the mini games can be completed without any timing or quick actions. There are a few exceptions. There are Sabotage tasks that can have a time limit or the imposter wins. There are some specific tasks that require holding a button.

The game provides a map where all task locations are. The game will also have arrows pointing you in the right direction for certain tasks.
