Lake is a narrative adventure where you play Meredith Weiss on a career break in 1986 while she returns to her hometown and ends up delivering the mail. As you talk to locals, meet up with old school friends and even fan a few romantic flames from your past, you discover a story about life's changing seasons.

NotesAccessibility Notes

We tested the Xbox and PC versions of the game.

The game can be played with one stick and multiple buttons if the camera is set to always follow the player and the truck. The same thing is true if you want to use only the keyboard to play the game.

Subtitles are clear and large but the speaker's name is a little smaller (and in all caps). Radio music is not subtitled. There is no speaker indicator in the subtitles for when the protagonist, Meredith, is speaking.

Progress is saved anytime except when in dialogue sequences.

All Speech Subtitled (Or No Speech In Game): All spoken content has subtitles, or there is no speech in the game. This means there is no requirement to hear spoken dialogue or narrative to play the game.

Captions

Speaker Indicator, their Tone and Environment Sounds: Captions indicate who is speaking (or there is only ever one person speaking) and their tone, game sound and music.
