Untitled Goose game is a tongue-in-cheek puzzle game where you play a dastardly goose intent on ruining the day of the inhabitants of a sleepy English village. Play involves working out the right order of interactions and distractions to let you steal the items you need. It stands out for the unusual chance to play the baddie in a light-hearted and puzzling stealth game.

Our accessibility examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Untitled Goose Game accessibility 18 months ago. It was re-examined by Ben Kendall and updated 12 months ago.

NotesAccessibility Notes

This is a hard game, with tension when you get caught and your items are stolen.

The default font on the to-do list is hard to see but can be changed. An integrated zoom function makes it easier to identify small objects that are used in its puzzles. A setting to have the camera only follow the goose, for people who experience motion sickness.

Unusually, the auto-generated dynamic music helps cue you when people are coming close, or occasionally when you’re getting close to an object.

There isn't generally a time limit on the missions in the game. There are sometimes, To Do (Quickly!!) items where you get six minutes, so you need to plan your movements in advance as you can't afford to be waiting around.

Although you do need to react to the characters in the game, there's no penalty for slower reactions and you can always try again. The challenge is more in keeping the characters chasing you rather than outfoxing them, this then ensures you have more time to press the button to grab an item.
