Play OverviewPlay Overview

Assassin's Creed Revelations (2011) is the fourth adventure game in the Assassin's Creed series. It follows on from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

You play Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in 12th and 13th century Masyaf, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze in 16th century Constantinople. The game mainly follows Ezio's journey to unlock the secret of Altaïr's vault in Masyaf. It creates an open world Constantinople, Rhodes, Masyaf and Cappadocia. Constantinople is the largest and is split into four districts: Constantine, Bayezid, Imperial, and Galata.

Like other games in the series, gameplay focuses on stealth, exploration and combat. You can hide from enemies not only in grass and bushes but can pull down your hood and slip into crowds to use them as cover. The main protagonist, Ezio, can use the hook blade to access zip lines across the environments. The hook blade is one of the new features introduced in Revelations. You can also use different bombs for tactical advantages.

Expanded in this game is the task of seizing districts of the city from the Templars. Like in Brotherhood, the Templars will send reinforcements to recapture districts, which Ezio must defend in a tactical "tower defence" sub-game.

Our examiner, Eamon Gaudio, first checked Assassin's Creed Revelations 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 7 months ago.
