As the enemies approach you identify them by their sound and choose and appropriate spell in a rock-scissor-paper style hierarchy. Swipe up for fire to beat earth. Swipe left for earth to beat lightning. Swipe down for lightening to beat water. Swipe right for water to beat fire.
These attacks can be applied to three different lanes. So you need to determine both the style of attack required as well as the location for that attack. You can use the sound the enemies make for this. There's also the option to use the visuals are easily distinguishable visuals.
