You need good coordination skills and the ability to deftly use the controller sticks to tilt the world and manoeuvre the ball through holes, moving obstacles and along precariously narrow pathways. It is a game of trial and error, so be prepared to fail many times in order to learn the course.
It's a simple game that can be played by a wide age range of people. You can pick up Ball World Adventures instantly. You also have the option to tackle any level in any order, so there is no danger of getting stuck and not able to see more of the game.
It's excruciatingly hard at times, but rewarding for those who persevere to learn the 13 different courses over two Part One and Part Two of the game in two separate Dreams:
7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Very young players do need patience to put up with the ball falling off.
Account RatingAccount required for online play that has 7 years old as minimum age. You must be 7 years old to have a PSN account, which is required to play Dreams. To set this up you need permission from a parent or guardian. Unless the parent or guardian specify not to restrict Network Features | Communication and User-Generated Content, or make an exception for Dreams they will only be able to access games and assets created by Media Molecule (rather than gamemade by the community).

This game is free to play. Does not offer in-game purchases, 'loot boxes' or 'battle/season passes'. You need to purchase Dreams to play the game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. Once you have Dreams the game itself is free via the about link.
You can turn off music during the game without needing to access a separate menu. You can also turn off some of the more distracting design elements in the game such as clouds or jumping fish at any time.
You play the game with just two sticks, but you do need buttons to access menu options.
The game does track your time on each level, but is low pressure as you can take as long as you like.
