Heartbeat: Regret is a horror rhythm-typing game. It's a tough game where you are hunted in a mansion by a dark monster. Unusually, you need to press buttons in time with the audible heart beat to move around and then type directions to take specific actions.

The game is fully playable without visuals and has 3 colour modes to choose from.

The game is self-voicing, so no screen reader is required to play.

Stereo headphones or speakers are required for this game so you can differentiate directions (left vs right).

You can only save the game in each of the chapters. Dying before this does mean you lose progress, as is the intention of the game to be a challenge.

Any typing that can be done does not have to be undertaken in rhythm. You can even type out everything but the last letter of a command, then wait for the right moment to execute it by tapping the final letter.

The lack of clarity in game mechanics might be seen as part of the game's puzzle-style gameplay, but at times it can be frustrating not knowing clearly how things are supposed to work. I would suggest taking breaks from this game and only playing it in short bursts.
