I Am Fish is a physics-based traversal game where you help four fish get back to the ocean from their tanks. You wrestle with the purposefully awkward controls, fighting against your own momentum and the multitude of hazards as you search for paths to take. It stands out for how it makes even the most straightforward of tasks into a challenge, balancing the (intentional) frustration with silly and lighthearted fun.

NotesAccessibility Notes

Once you select a direction for your fish to move in, they continue to move in that direction until you select a new direction, so you don't need to hold down the movement stick. The camera moves automatically, but can also be manually controlled. Often you need to rapidly adjust your direction to alter your movement and counter your momentum.

If a checkpoint is too difficult, you can skip it and although this lowers your final score, it still allows for progression.

There are occasional cutscenes, which are all fully voiced with subtitles, but they are small and often low in contrast. Text in menus is high in contrast but also tends to be small.
