Sifu is a martial arts fighting game with a flowing control system and ageing protagonist. You fight with Kung-Fu combat designed with impact and authenticity in mind. The twist is, each time you die you age which means eventually you are too old to progress and must begin again.

NotesAccessibility Notes

You can switch between togge and hold options. You need to have quick reactions to parry incoming attacks and launch attacks yourself. You also need to press buttons simultaneously for some actions, which are required to complete the tutorial.

There are three difficulty settings to pick from: Student; Disciple; and Master. These affect how aggressive enemies are and the rate of ageing when you die.

You can't manually save the game, but the game saves at regular intervals.

Text in menus is high in contrast, but not large. You can change subtitle size by adjusting the HUD scale to make it very large. On the largest sizes, however, it can sometimes be cut off by the sides of the screen.

The game is fairly linear so navigation is generally straightforward. when there's an interactive object, it is highlighted by a glowing white spot on the screen. When nearby one of these objects, you can make the camera move to highlight it.

There is a High-Contrast Mode that makes you bright blue, enemies bright red, and the world / dead enemies grey. You need to carefully watch enemies to know when they're about to attack so you can parry their moves. There is a motion blur that can't be disabled.
