The Crew 2 is the latest in a series of open-world racing and exploration games set in a scaled-down version of the United States. The emphasis is on enjoyable and exciting driving more than realism. It's a lot like Forza Horizon, although can be played on PlayStation and PC as well as Xbox.

NotesAccessibility Notes

You have to play each race first on the lowest difficulty, then unlock the higher difficulties which you can play that race on subsequently after winning. You need to hold down a button to use nitro, as well as to quickly swap between vehicles.

Text is all high in contrast, but can often be very small and can't be adjusted.

When searching for loot drops in the open world, a sonar-style ping helps you locate it once you're close to it. This is accompanied by a visual indicator on the minimap. You can enable a racing line to make the way to go clear, but can't use any sonar or audible cues to help you navigate during races. Additionally, when driving on a road, incoming traffic can be hard to see. Although there's no motion blur, there is a very significant depth-of-field effect applied on occasion.

The game automatically saves progress you make in the open world, but if you quit during a race you have to start it again. This can mean losing over half an hour of playtime.
