Toki Tori is a puzzle game where you traverse 2D levels and use limited resources to rescue all the eggs. Similarly to the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, you can build bridges over gaps. Here though, you can also unlock weapons, teleportation abilities, and move walls around. The trick is putting each tool's limited number of uses to good use to solve each level.

NotesAccessibility Notes

This accessibility report is based on the latest release, the original Toki Tori remaster for the Nintendo Switch. Other versions and releases will differ in the accessibility features they sport.

There aren't any difficulty settings, but each level is either classified as Easy, Hard, or Bonus, and you need to beat every previous level before unlocking the next. You can enter rewind mode by holding down a button, which allows you to go back to before you made a mistake and correct it.

While all text is high contrast, some of it is rather small and as a consequence difficult to read. The eggs you need to get are bright and are easy to see, and the background is generally devoid of movement. However, some moving foreground elements cover your character, such as waterfalls, which can distract from the gameplay.

While you can mute sound effects, music, or both, there is no adjustment of the volume of either.
