Play OverviewPlay Overview

Bionic Bay is a running and jumping game with a difference. Set in a burning future you rush through the world with parkour skills and a unique swap ability. This makes play more physics-based than other platform games as you can move objects around the levels for protection and locomotion.

Beyond the novel swapping, it's a game built around detailed modelling of movement and motion - of both you and the world you explore. You traverse the areas you are presented with to explore deeper and deeper into the huge spaces that confront you.

The result is a game that's unusual to play, but that also offers a strong emotional aesthetic. You are a tiny figure facing an enormous task and only have your wits and the world's physics to work with.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Bionic Bay 15 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 9 months ago.
