Play OverviewPlay Overview

Bämeräng (2021) is a frantic fighting game where up to four players struggle to direct their boomerang to hit each other. You play by moving around the small arena and aiming your throw. It's fun because it's both silly and skilful - you can tell from the laughs and shouts of the people playing it.

It's a simple game about mastering the curve of the boomerang to hit your friends in unexpected ways to send them flying off the stage. You compete on a rising platform that changes shape each round. The winner is the player who has the most golden points on the stage.

The result is a little game that creates a surprising amount of fun. The whole thing is well-designed and full of finesse - like the moment the goddess shakes points out of you if you fall off the platform. It's all wrapped up in a risk-reward mechanic where the more points you have, the more you can lose, making it easier for others to catch up.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Bämeräng 13 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 9 months ago.
