As you create longer congas the faster you can add people. But you need to avoid collecting pigs or bumping into other dancers rather than circling them. The challenge is to collect a well balanced set of dancers that fill the different progress bars.
Along with the story mode, where you work through a series of locations trying to stop them be abducted between levels. Progressing takes you to faster levels with more tightly knit crowds that are harder to weave your way around. You slowly unlock the 30 characters each with different styles of dancing movement.
The Conga Master Party version of the game offers more characters and new multiplayer modes on the Switch. One where you have to strike a power with the Joy-Con when you clash lines, and another where you steal people from another line with Rock-Paper-Scissors battles.
Players: You can play with 4 players in the same room, but you can’t play it online. There are six multiplayer modes where you compete to form the longest lines with different settings, challenges and hazards. Slice your rivals' congas to ribbons, pop pigs, fight over a lone conga dancer, race to make the longest line.
On Switch you can play two people to each Joy-Con half (four players on one pair) although this is a little fiddly for adult hands.
Skill Rating6+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. The simple two-button play and dancing fun make this ideal for really young players. Later levels get harder but you can stick to the early stages to see who can store the most dancers in the family. Also the simple multiplayer modes work well with youngsters too.
