Crime O'Clock (2023) is a point-and-click crime-solving game where you explore a detailed map to piece together timelines that prove whodunnit. You zoom in and study the detailed map to find time markers and work out the culprit of hacking, murder and theft.
Each map represents a different time zone, with a series of mysteries to unravel. You not only need to solve puzzles on each map but unravel the thread of strange events developing over the centuries. As you solve crimes the map evolves to slowly give up its secrets (and more crimes to solve).
It's a little like the physical murder mystery game Micro Macro only here the game can offer you clues and change the map in response to your progress. You have an AI helper who offers new ways to find clues and evidence with action and puzzle mini-games.
The result is a time-hoping adventure that spans five different ages: Steam Age with automata crazy inventions and gothic mysteries, Atlantean Age with its magic crystals and utopian civilization, Information Age based on the real city of Milan in Italy, Lost Age where the sands of time hide mysteries and technological marvels and the Aeon Age with bright lights, ruthless corporations and underground struggles.

The nature of the murder mystery theme means that characters are depicted doing acts of violence. Sometimes this is being squashed by huge metal letters that leaves them flat on the floor. Weapons like crossbows are shown and there is mention of blood.

10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Players need good observation and skills of detection. Lateral thinking is required for crimes that span different eras of time. There's also a geographic aspect to hunting down suspects.
