Overview
DokeV is an open-world adventure game where you explore a bright K-pop backed world. It's a chaotic mix of Pokémon creature collection, Breath of the Wild exploration and Monster Hunter battles. These elements coalesce around the creature collection element, large open world and extensive character customisation. Through it runs the idea that the creatures you collect gain strength from and encourage children to dream.
Play involves collecting the Dokebi creatures, exploring the world and interacting with characters in it to take on adventurous missions. Finding the Dokebi creatures takes time, with some needing clues to be discovered to find their location. It's designed to be a game that parents can play together with children.
The game aesthetic captures the playful nature of childhood. Whether games in the playground, chasing around the city or sneaking up behind each other, there's a comical mischievous feel to the play here. You can get around on foot, but also skateboard, bikes, jet skis or even magical umbrellas. You can customise what you wear and the weapons you wield.
The combat is simple yet hard-hitting. You can tackle enemy monsters in diverse ways that encourage everyone to get involved in the combat. This is where your Dokebi creatures come in handy and open up new ways to dispatch enemies.
This game is in development. It's reported to be for console and PC. Whether that is Switch, PlayStation or Xbox is not confirmed though. Also, it's not confirmed exactly how many players can team up at the same time.
