OverviewOverview

Drink More Glurp is a wacky sports game where you take turns to play athletic challenges. The twist is that you have to control your over-long arms with a separate joystick and your body is a wheel you can roll along on if you lift your arms right up. You can move and grab with each arm using a button and stick for each.

It's a mix of simplicity and complexity that becomes actually quite intuitive to use as you get used to it. Still, you do have to wrestle with the real world physics. Executing the right move takes both precision and timing.

Run, jump, throw and compete with up to 20 people in the Party Mode or aim to score on the online leaderboards in Challenge Mode. Each time you play the activities and your abilities change depending on the sponsor. This might add low gravity or super-strength throughout. Or maybe sticky arms or exploding fists.

The funny physics and enjoyment of watching other people grapple with the controls makes this a great game to play together. Also, because it's turn-taking there's none of the usual pressure to perform at the same time as each other.

You can play with 1 to 20 players in the same room or as a 1-player online game. Take turns with up to 20 people locally, or compete in online leaderboards. Players can drop in and drop out at any time and you only need one controller.

The game intentionally focuses on turn-taking multiplayer as the developer found that "split screen was less fun (and more stressful) for players that struggled. It also meant they missed a lot of the the action of the other players flailing about, which is what brings a lot of the comedy, or you missed amazing results because you are only focussed on your corner."
