We witness events from Ki's past as she remembers her past lives. These play out as minimally animated cinematics. In these memories we see depictions of negative events, including an implied attack by crows, a falling bomb, her brother being trapped in a burning building, and her brother's arrest. None of these scenes show any explicit violence, blood or injuries, but they may be distressing to younger children.
