Future Unfolding is an exploration adventure where you travel into beautiful landscapes to unfold the mysteries hidden around you. Viewed from above, you have a bird's eye view as you encounter different types of wild animals, some helpful and some dangerous. It's a game with a delicate touch punctuated with pop-philosophy that make it an acquired taste, but if you enjoy slow meandering journeys it's a great option.

Play involves moving your character around the colourful countryside setting. Each play-through of the world is different, although the elements will be familiar. You can interact with objects in the world and use a map to get around. This gently guides you to join-the-dot style puzzles and new areas of the world.

The game starts simply, but as you get the ability to jump and swim, the world opens up. This lets you leave the beaten path and hunt down secrets in the forgotten woods. Or explore the hidden caves. You may get lost, but that's part of the experience. As you push further into the wild you slowly map the world, but still there is a sense of an unknown wilderness throughout.

The result is a game with a surprisingly light touch. You are left to your own devices much of the time, which won't suit all players. If you have the patience to investigate the seemingly impenetrable world, this is a unique and rewarding journey into the wild.
