Play Overview
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (2012) is a running and jumping game where you can switch between two forms, and with that, two versions of the world. Each form has different platforming abilities so you need to juggle the two to complete levels and find every secret.
When you are "cute" you have blonde hair and skip through bright sunshine in Smurf-like locations. When you switch to your "punk" form, houses become ruins and trees become skeletons. You can make the change instantaneously mid-level and will need to do this multiple times to complete each area.
As the world changes so do the possible paths through it. Platforms will rise or fall, enemies transform and behave differently and water-based areas will fill or empty. Your abilities also switch from being able to hover across gaps or dash to kill enemies and smash blocks.
The result is a game that feels novel to play and invites deep exploration.
