OverviewOverview

Going Under is a satirical adventure game where you play an intern in a failing start-up company. The game proceeds like other dungeon adventures with enemies to defeat and quests to find items, only here it's all in aid of keeping your boss happy while not getting paid.

While it's a funny little game, it also uncovers how hard it can be breaking into a new line of work, and how you need to think about boundaries of what you will and won't do for your dream job.

Being a video game, there's another nice similarity with the busy-work that dungeon adventures often throw at players who are rewarded with some gold, and then more busy-work.

In the dungeons of Going Under, almost everything can be used as a weapon, from laptops to brooms to body pillows. Proper weapons can be found as well, but even they can break at a moment’s notice if you aren’t careful. Playing cautiously and picking the right weapon for the situation are musts if you intend on surviving your internship.

At the bottom of the dungeons lurk the founders of the cursed startups, getting rich off of investments while their employees fight amongst themselves. Defeat them and return to the surface with their enchanted relics to empower the company you work for.
