OverviewOverview

Golf Story is an adventure game where you play golf over eight different courses as a story unfolds. You play a golfer forced to give up all that he holds dear for one last shot at accomplishing his dreams.

Play involves playing golf, as you would expect. But you also explore the world, talk to characters and follow clues to develop your character and solve mysteries in the world. As you progress you take on the adventure by completing mini-games and getting access to the Pro Tournament.

You steadily get money and experience points that enable you to upgrade your kit and abilities. In this way you work to prove other characters wrong with your prowess and performance in the tournaments.

The result is an unusual combination of adventuring and golf. It's the golfing play that's the main event here, but the context of the wider world and your place in it does add a sense of progression. There's a lot to discover. Not only the courses, but mini-golf and disc-golf challenges as well.
