Play OverviewPlay Overview

Guns of Icarus (2018) (Online/Alliance) is an online battle between teams of steampunk airships. Join up to 32 players for epic airship battles, with four players manning each ship. Or you can team up with a few friends to fight the AI that learns your habits. It's an evolving universe where your successes and failures constantly reshape the world.

The game is set during an Industrial Revolution when new machines consumed the world, staining the sky, scouring the land and poisoning the water. Humanity came to the brink of extinction, all but destroyed by their own unrestrained ingenuity. A few pockets of civilization survived, sheltering in the crevices of the world, and it is time for a comeback.

You choose a role, Pilot, Engineer or Gunner and work with your crew towards victory as sky pirates. Repair your ship’s armour, gun down enemy balloons, and deftly weave in and out of combat to dominate the skies in a variety of game modes and maps. Next choose your ship, from nimble chargers to powerful broadsiders, equip it with a deadly arsenal, and enter the fray.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Guns of Icarus 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 8 weeks ago.
