It's Help! I'm Haunted is a retro running, jumping and shooting game where you work through levels of ghosts to rescue residents. You play freelance exorcist Harry B. Spooked against the swarm of sinister spooks infesting Neotransylvania.

Play involves clearing levels in classic platforming action. As you progress you can unlock new weapons, each of them can be upgraded several times to create the ultimate unlicensed arsenal. At the end of a series of levels you take on a big boss enemy.

It's a simple game with pixelated graphics, but one that has been lovingly created. On smartphones, the touch controls enable you to lock your shooting in one direction while moving another. This simplifies the controls but also offers some new shooting strategies.

It's Help! I'm Haunted is out on iOS and planned for PC.

The game is old school in style and because of this it is quite difficult. There are no accessibility settings but the game's design does mean the enemies are bright and relatively large.

Along with the left/right direction and jump control, shooting is controlled by a slider that you can lock on in a direction. This means you don't need to hold down the fire button, or press it rapidly.
