Immigration Nation is a strategy game about guiding newcomers to the country along their path to citizenship. You are in charge of Immigration Bay with an in-flow of boats, each with their own story to understand.

Play involves clicking on each boat, reading their stories. You then decide whether to send them to a location or to deny them entry to the country. The challenge is that the more boats you grant entry the more harbour traffic you have to manage.

The stories you encounter take you through eligibility requirements for legal U.S. residence and citizenship criteria to distinguish those who are already citizens from those who are not. You also deal with time requirements for legal residents to become eligible to apply for citizenship.

It's a game from the perspective of a nation-state that deals with issues like refugees, asylum, gender, work permission, citizenship, naturalization and eligibility.
