OverviewOverview

Islanders is city-building game where you carefully place structures to earn points from their geographic location and relation to other features and buildings on your islands. Earn enough points and you unlock new buildings and eventually the chance to move to a new island.

At the start you see a small randomly generated island and have a small pack of basic buildings. The puzzle challenge slowly unfolds but doesn't ramp up difficulty or complexity too much. This is a game that you can take at your own pace and find an enjoyable rhythm in playing.

Unlike other city or world-building games there's no grind of work to gather or manage resources, it's all about the careful placement of each building to earn enough points to unlock the next one.

Very young players will enjoy the sandbox mode where you can build your island communities without worrying about scoring points.
