Overview
In story mode you learn the ropes with intermediate tracks and the optional Casual mode. Play focuses on your deft use of the movement stick and dash button to avoid the shapes and stay alive. Challenge Runs mode starts awarding a score for each run.

In the US, ESRB state: As players progress through the story, they occasionally engage in boss battles, avoiding monsters made from geometric shapes. One cutscene depicts a monster punching a smaller creature; another sequence depicts a creature being struck by a triangular shape, resulting in pink blood stains.

Accessibility
There's a casual mode that gives you double the number of lives before you die for Story mode only. There's a Hardcore mode that introduces more hazards. You can't use the casual mode in challenge mode.
There is a One-Hand mode that lets you use the Right Stick for movement and triggers for dashing. You can also navigate menus in One-hand mode using triggers and stick clicks.
For practice you can play in Playlist mode with the songs you have already unlocked. To play for fun only, Party mode lets you play without consequences for dying.
