Play OverviewPlay Overview

Knowledge is Power (2017) is a quiz game for six people, played on your PlayStation but controlled with Smartphones so you don't need loads of controllers. You go head-to-head with friends and family to answer quick-fire questions. The twist is that you can play tricks on other players to level the playing field.

Like other PlayLink games, you use your smartphone or tablet to swipe, type and tap in your answers to each question. As you work through the different rounds you pick different topics. This contributes to your score in the gameshow’s Pyramid of Knowledge.

As you progress you realise that the faster you answer questions the more points you get. Although, of course, if you don't get it right there are no points for you. You also get to earn Power Plays to hurl at other players and slow down their answers by forcing them to tap through ice or rub away gunk before they can even answer.

The result is a fun family quiz game for six players that works for a wide range of ages.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Knowledge is Power 15 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 15 months ago.

Some of the questions contain references to alcohol, drugs or gambling, but always is a factual way.
