Lake is a narrative adventure where you play Meredith Weiss on a career break in 1986 while she returns to her hometown and ends up delivering the mail. As you talk to locals, meet up with old school friends and even fan a few romantic flames from your past, you discover a story about life's changing seasons.

The game loops around delivering mail, navigating and talking to people as you drop off their packages. This is punctuated with exploration around different locations.

How you play the game and make choices about interactions, affects your character. But there's no one path that is better than the others. It's a game of competing options with 3 different endings.

"Lake is a game of second chances," says the developer. Along with the relaxing location, the pressure is reduced by offering players a chance to change their minds. and correct any "mistakes" they may fear they have made.

Coming to Xbox and PC first, then Switch and PlayStation.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 16 because it features use of strong language and prominent use of alcohol and tobacco. This game includes infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as milder terms such as 'spaz', '*!@?*', 'bloody' and 'bugger'. There are scenes in which the player's character can actively choose to engage in drinking alcohol and smoking. It is implied, by verbal references, that some of what is being smoked may be marijuana, although this is not visually confirmed. There is some mild violence in an arcade-style mini game titled 'Ghostblasters', in which the player's non-detailed and pixelated human character must shoot at and destroy waxes of pixelated ghost characters. Enemies disappear in puffs of blue clouds while the player turns red when hit. No blood or injuries are depicted. The game also includes some mild sexual innuendo, as well as references to gambling.
