Landlord of the Woods (2021) is a point-and-click adventure where you play a disaffected 25-year-old who starts working as a woods keeper. Play involves getting the woodland houses ready for each tenant who has specific requirements.
It's a game about working in the hospitality industry. Although here hospitality means providing cooking appliances to boil brains and peeling the skin off snakes to free the rodents inside. These are puzzles as you find in other games, where you need to work with the physics of the objects to solve them. But also, they are unlike any other game for being so intentionally grotesque.
The result is a short intriguing game about feeling like your peers are ahead of you in life and the challenge of finding a career. Although, deep down you suspect that career might (literally) consume you.
