Play OverviewPlay Overview

Lego Dimensions (2015) is like other Lego games but uses real Lego sets to unlock content like Skylanders. Although it’s not being updated any longer, its interactive cooperative brick format offers a novel way to play and access some unusual Lego content.

You need to purchase the Lego Dimensions Starter Set. This provides the peripheral that plugs into the console and reads the smart Lego bricks to unlock the content. The Starter Set comes with Lord of the Rings, Batman and The Lego Movie characters and adventures.

You can then purchase separate smaller Lego packs that provide further content. Each of these not only unlocks characters and a short 2-hour adventure but an open world for that franchise that offers a considerable amount of themed content:
  • Back to the Future
  • The Simpsons
  • Scooby-Doo!
  • Legends of Chima
  • The Wizard of Oz
  • Doctor Who
  • Ghostbusters
  • Midway Arcade
  • Adventure Time
  • Mission: Impossible
  • The A-Team
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Gremlins
  • E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
  • Knight Rider
  • The Goonies
  • The Powerpuff Girls
  • Teen Titans Go!
  • Beetlejuice
  • Portal 2

DurationDuration

Play Time: This game will take between 13 hours and 20 hours to complete. Although you can complete the main campaign Starter Pack story in around 13 hours, collecting everything in the campaign and exploring the themed open-worlds extends this beyond 20 hours. Add to this the multiplayer battles and this is longer still.

Adding the different TV and Comic Lego sets add a 2-hour adventure and an open world with at least 5 hours of things to collect. Again, this adds a themed battle arena for multiplayer fun.
