Play Overview
Monopoly (1935) is a strategy traversal game where you buy and develop land to make money from property. As you roll and move around the board you build up a portfolio of streets that you can charge rent on. It's a classic game that's stood the test of time because it's highly competitive yet mixes both skill and chance.
With each turn, you roll two dice and move around the board. If you land on an unowned property you can buy it. If you land on a property owned by another player you pay rent. The cost of this escalates as players work to own a set of streets and add Houses and Hotels to them. The aim is to win all the money.
The result is a game that is approachable, a little frustrating when you lose, but ultimately a lot of fun. It's mildly taxing which means you can easily chat and snack while you play.
