Overview
Monopoly is a strategy traversal game where you buy and develop land to make money from property. As you roll and move around the board you build up a portfolio of streets that you can charge rent on. It's a classic game that's stood the test of time because it's highly competitive yet mixes both skill and chance.
Each turn a you rolls two dice and move round the board. If you land on an unowned property you can buy it. If you land on a property owned by another player you pay rent. The cost of this escalates as players work to own a set of streets and add Houses and Hotels to them. The aim is to win all the money.
The result is a game that is approachable, a little frustrating when you lose, but ultimately a lot of fun. It's mildly taxing which means you can easily chat and snack while you play.
