Play OverviewPlay Overview

Monorail Stories (2022) is a narrative adventure where two people's lives are entwined by the journeys they take on the same monorail. You make choices for each character that can impact not only people on your commute but those on the other journey. It's understated and interwoven, and stands out for being able to play this in turns with another player.

Silvie and Ahmal live in two cities opposite each other. At different times of day they both commute to work, and make choices about who to talk to and how to treat their fellow passengers. They don't know each other, but the decisions they make affect each other's lives in profound ways.

This may be as trivial as a lost scarf, or as important as advice for someone's failing relationship or maybe intervening in harassment. At the end of each day, you get a recap of the decisions you made for each character. Each new day is a chapter and a new set of interlocking choices in their shared story.

You can play on your own, making choices for both of them or take turns with someone else, each taking charge of either Silvie or Ahmal. As you progress you meet dozens of people and every interaction impacts not only one life but the life of the other people and the city they live in.

The result is an unusual game about humanity, friendships, and intertwined destinies manifesting during the everyday commute.
