Video Game Orna Review
Orna (2019): The GPS RPG, as its longer name suggests, is a combination of role-playing adventure and real-world (geocache-style) treasure hunt. You select a character at the start of the game and head out on a walk. As you do you can encounter creatures, buildings and treasures to interact with.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Orna 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 7 weeks ago.

Orna: The GPS RPG, as its longer name suggests, is a combination of role-playing adventure and real-world (geocache-style) treasure hunt. You select a character at the start of the game and head out on a walk. As you do you can encounter creatures, buildings and treasures to interact with.

Rather than using buttons and sticks to move around, you move your character by moving in the real world. You can team up with other players to form a party when you are in the same physical location.

As you walk around your local area you start to claim territory that provides an income. This, along with winning battles, enables you to level up your character. There's a puzzle element to the game as most enemies have elemental weaknesses and will take more damage when this weakness is exploited. Try elemental weapons or magic.

The game is regularly updated and supported by an avid community. The world in which you explore is alive and changing with characters, other players and developments that change over time.
