Overview
You play a character with stats that reflect combat ability, morale, and magical affinity. You need to use these skills to maximise the points you earn with the gem matching. As you progress you can earn enhancements to your abilities and face tougher enemies.

In the US, ESRB state: Puzzle Quest 2 had the following notes on the rating: While the actual combat does not have a visual depiction, attacks include names such as "Crushing Kill," "Blood Drain," and "Finger of Death." Also, text in the storyline includes phrases such as "Our hero travels deep into a pit of corpses" and ". . . watch in horror as the 'odd looking one' turns on the other recruit, devouring her instantly." The words "damn," "hell," and "*!@?* sword" appear in the text-based dialogue. Some female characters wear revealing outfits.
Skill Rating
7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. You need to be able to match patterns and colours under pressure. There are also decisions to make about upgrades and the story path that very young children may struggle with.
