The Pilot drives the submarine through the frightening underwater caves. But they can't see anything that's not immediately around them. This role is a visual challenge but doesn't rely on sound. The Engineer has a sonar that relies on sound to identify nearby hazards. This role is an auditory challenge that has been designed to be accessible for blind players.
It's a short small game, designed for a study of inclusive games for players with mixed visual abilities. Players must work together, each on their own device, to navigate the ocean and come back with treasure. As you build up a stock of valuable orbs and treasure the Engineer can craft items to help the mission: torpedos and flares.
The result is a game that creates unique and engaging collaboration between players of different gaming experience and/or levels of sight. It's short but can be played multiple times.
Players: You can play this with 2 players online. Each player needs to download the game on their computer, and then select the same code when they start to be connected in the same game. If not in the same location, a means of communicating with each other is also important.

Engineer Role: can be played without sight. It is controlled either through mouse and keys or keyboard alone. The game provides this player with Audible Directional Cues that they need to communicate to the other player. The game narrates resources you collect and crafting options, to enable this role to choose items to craft. It also narrates how much battery remains.
Pilot Role: can be played without hearing. It is controlled through mouse and keys together. While the visual role includes binaural sound, it depends on the interaction with visual elements. You need to hold the button down to operate the claw to collect items.
When you start the game you are prompted to turn on/off narrator, choose language. You then select control scheme when you start the game.
