OverviewOverview

In this game, amateur game-makers create simple online games that often mimic real-world grown-up scenarios, like working in a pizza restaurant, surviving natural disasters, escaping prison, scuba diving or playing hide-and-seek. The library of games is fast-changing and specific games mimic the evolving rules of playground games. Playing with other children and the novelty of familiar topics make this game hugely popular. It also offers children a safe way to experience a huge variety of make-believe scenarios online.

Ensure you have selected the “Restricted Mode” in the users settings for younger players. This ensures they can only play games that have been approved by Roblox itself as suitable for a wide audience. You can also specify how they interact with other users in these settings.

Players can be under 13 but will have more restricted experience. Players over 13 can use the voice chat "Spatial Voice" to talk to any players that are near them in the game. To turn this on you need to verify your age with government ID and a selfie photo. This then automatically sets your age and lets you turn on voice chat in the game, as indicated by the microphone above your head.

Content Rating

This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context, mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to human-like characters and pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children.

Violence is very mild and consists of blocky, action-figure and stick-like humanoid characters competing in various child-friendly games. Armed with fists, swords or guns they can hit each other until they fall apart and disappear. Blood and injuries are not depicted. Violence can be found in the following games: Coalesce, Fisticuffs, Heroes, Ripull Minigames, ROBLOX Dodgeball, Skybound II, Super Check Point and TNT Rush. Frightening scenes can occur in the game Stop it, Slender! 2. The aim of the game is to run around darkened locations collection pages. Slender Man can jump out of the darkness and scare you. If you do not look away fast enough you lose the game.

User-Generated Content: This game includes content created by other players, such as maps, outfits and items, that are not reflected in the game rating.

Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.

AccessibilityAccessibility

Not all games offer difficulty settings, however with thousands of games to choose from many are easier to play, low pressure and don't require fast relations. Few Roblox games offer customisable difficulty though.

While long narrative is rare, you need to read small text on menus and even smaller text to identify other players in the game.

Tablet games offer the option to tap to move, dynamic thumbstick (where ever you touch the screen), static thumbstick (always in the corner). On Xbox, you can view the controller buttons any time by pressing the Menu button, but you can't remap them.

You can zoom in and out on tablet and smartphone versions. You can pick different camera modes. On PC you can select "Shift Lock" for a first-person view.
