Play OverviewPlay Overview

Runbow (2015) is an unusual racing game where each player controls a coloured figure who must run and jump their way through the platform levels ahead of their opponents who are trying to do the same thing.

You all share the same screen and battle as you race. You can double jump as well as perform attacks to defeat enemies or gain extra reach whilst jumping. The background of each level constantly shifts between a cycle of colours, causing obstacles of the same colour as the background, such as blockades and spikes, to disappear.

There are lots of different modes and challenges: time trials, a special mode called "Master the Bowhemoth", as well as other modes that are not racing-focused, such as "King of the Hill" and "Arena”.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Runbow 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Ellen Robertson and updated 12 weeks ago.
