Save Room tasks you with fitting your special agent gear into a bag of limited size. Inspired by the inventory management system of games like Resident Evil 4, you need to place the odd-shaped guns, ammo and items neatly next to each other. With no combat, danger, or scares, it's a unique twist on the puzzle genre that offers a surprisingly tough challenge.

In each of the 40 levels, you're given a selection of weapons, medicinal plants and other objects, and can see your health level. You need to move and rotate the items to make them fit into an irregular grid which is just the right size that all the objects can fit in if you position them correctly.

You can combine certain items to save space as well as replenishing your health and crafting bullets from other resources to ensure all the guns are fully loaded. You win when your health is full, all guns are loaded, and all the items are arranged in the grid.

The result is a unique "Inventory Tetris" game that offers a surprisingly challenging selection of puzzles that require patience and logical thinking to overcome. Any parent who has been responsible for loading the car for camping will relate. Experimenting with different rotations and placements of items is essential to emerge with a victoriously packed bag.

Our Save Room Accessibility Report documents 20 accessibility features:
There are no difficulty settings, and some of the later levels are quite difficult. You can take as long as you need to complete each puzzle, and there is no need for fast reactions or precise timings. The game saves after every level.

The text in the game is generally quite large, although not quite 1/20th the height of the screen, and is all high-contrast and in a readable font.

Many parts of the game are quite low contrast, making it difficult to distinguish which squares on the grid are filled. Additionally, some of the items you need to combine to craft health-restoring potions and the like are only distinguishable by colour, which is important to note for colourblind players.
